Veolia Water Technologies, a division of Veolia Water and Veolia Environnement, is a world leader in water treatment, with 6,100 employees through 120 business units. We are a leader in engineering, design, project management and execution of construction projects for turnkey facilities and water treatment plants. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Project Engineer to provide engineering assistance to the Project Managers.

Key responsibilities of this role are

• Check the validity of technical decisions made within the framework of the project.
• Ensure that all requirements are incorporated into the design.
• Ensure design changes are reviewed, approved, recorded, maintained and communicated to all relevant parties
• Assist in the selection and creation of new suppliers and sub-contractors in the system
• Liaise with the suppliers for quotations, prepare and maintain purchase orders and process invoices
• Undertake installation supervision, commissioning activities and performance testing activities on project sites
• Assist with preparation and filing of OHS documentation and monthly reports
• Prepare Operating and Maintenance manuals
• Manage non-compliance issues and propose preventive and corrective measures.
• General tasks as requested from time to time by Project Managers to assist with execution of various projects, tender proposals or process / procedures reviews and development.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in water treatment industry.  
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
• The right to permanently work in Australia.

Please note that travel to site will be required.
