We’re seeking a self-motivated Graduate Concrete Engineer to join our Austral Precast® office in Wetherill Park, NSW, who is hands on, ready to challenge their capabilities and driven to make a difference with a commitment to safety, sustainability and quality.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Provision of engineering support and management of our on-site batch plant;
• Manage the concrete related elements of our Quality Assurance (QA) process – oversee sample casting, testing, results reporting and interpretation, completion of QA records;
• Ensure the concrete mix designs are optimised at all times for strength, set time, workability, finished panel weight constraints and lowest cost;
• Oversee the maintenance program of the on-site batch plant;
• Develop and implement a batch plant compliance system to manage HSEQ aspects of running the batch plant and identifying early any compliance departures;
• Lead batch plant capital project initiatives – scope of work definition, supplier quotations, internal capital justification, execution of the work; and
• Assist in achieving the overall production objectives of the business within a team environment;

Success Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience in a concrete specific role – e.g. concrete technology, mix designs, batch plant engineer, concrete QA engineer, etc
• Computer literacy (Word and Excel).
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness and flexibility to adapt to new tasks and activities.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority.
• Experience working or playing in a team environment.
