Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer – Temporary Works

The Company
For over 80 years, this Engineering & Construction company has safely been a leader in the design, engineering and construction of a varied range of projects between $20M to $800M across APAC. A leadership opportunity is now available for a Civil/Structural Engineer who has a depth of Temporary Works design experience (roads / bridges / water) experience through tender and project delivery with developed department leadership skills.

The Role
Supporting the Australian Engineering Manager and State engineering and project teams, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and drafters with particular focus on temporary works on significant Australian infrastructure. In a client facing vacancy, engaging with authorities and clients, we are looking for an innovative professional who is competent at demonstrating engineering temporary works solutions together with the team during tender and delivery stages. During pre and post award, with the support of your team you will be accountable for conducting innovative temporary works design reports, calcs and specs, taking into consideration, environmental and safety factors.

The Person
Applicants will have a minimum of 10 years construction Engineering experience and a Bachelors in Civil/Structural Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia. You will have prior experience with a major design consultancy or construction company and be familiar with local design codes or recognised international codes. Adaptable, you will be a versatile constructive leader who is compliant, can engineer to schedule and budget and understands constructability.
