We are currently seeking an experienced Senior HV Electrical Engineer (Power Systems) to join our collaborative and innovative engineering team working across multiple projects. The role will be based at Hexham (Newcastle) and will involve some travel in line with project requirements.
Reporting into the Lead Electrical Engineer (Power Systems), you will be responsible for:
- General electrical design and management for industrial projects;
- Protection scheme, Earthing system and HV Switchyard design;
- Specification, evaluation and selection of HV equipment;
- Fault level and load flow monitoring and calculation of power system networks;
- On-site HV testing and commissioning (Both local and remote sites);
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in power system design, software modelling and calculation, together with preparation of estimates for engineering design works;
- Engineering Degree (Electrical), with an Electrical Trade Licence highly regarded;
- Experience in electrical design, fault finding and commissioning of industrial power systems plant and equipment;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with an open and collaborative attitude;
- Awareness of safety systems, legislation codes and contractual documentation;
