Reporting to the General Manager Rail; The Project Manager - Systems & Safety Assurance will be part of a multi disciplined team, providing project management services in the delivery of client projects. The role is client facing and coordinates the services that are required to be delivered in compliance with AS 15288. The position will provide you with a collaborative environment in which to apply your expertise.
The role:
- Provide dedicated consulting to services to a range of rail/transport clients.
- Actively consult with clients to manage and successfully deliver each project through its lifecycle, ensuring sound project/risk methodologies are applied.
- Assume direct responsibility for the management of sub-contractors and the project management of staff.
- Coordinate and deliver projects in accordance with internal Integrated Management Systems.
- Perform client identification and research/development activities whilst preparing proposals, leading tender submissions to actively win new commercial opportunities.
- Develop and retain sound client relationships through the demonstration of subject matter expertise and business partnering principals.
- Engage in ongoing personal training and development and support adhoc commercial activities for other SYSTRA Scott Lister business units.
Required experience & skills:
- Degree qualified in any of the following disciplines; Engineering, IT/Computer science, Business or Business Administration with CPPM/Prince 2 or an equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years rail experience, delivering complex infrastructure projects within demanding business environments.
- previous/current experience of systems engineering activities and the application of AS 15288.
- Demonstrate sound experience in project management, risk management across rail communication/rail systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to effectively negotiate with internal and external stakeholders with exemplary leadership skills.
- Advanced/Intermediate levels in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint & Word. With the ability to write documents, reports & proposals.
