Your New Opportunity

The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the national Sales and Project Delivery teams to support the preparation of tenders and the successful delivery of power systems projects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Sales and Project teams in the proper selection, application and installation of PPS generators and ancillary equipment;
• Provide technical support to ensure installations are carried out in accordance with PPS guidelines, Australian Standards, State & Local Government regulations, in accordance with client specifications and industry standards;
• Responsible for the electrical and control system design of PPS tenders and project installations;
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, third party suppliers and subcontractors to enhance marketing and sales opportunities;
• Review supplier and subcontractors submissions / quotations to ensure specification compliance and appropriate selection of suppliers and subcontractors;
• Provide Application Engineering support to sales representatives and project managers, remotely or at customer sites as required;
• Support development of standardised electrical and control system designs;
• Maintain internal relationships with sales/projects & engineering teams through effective communication;
• Develop project commissioning plans and supervise commissioning of generator installations and power stations.

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical). CpEng and/or RPEQ will be highly regarded;
• Demonstrated experience within the Power Generation industry is desirable;
• Recent graduates with relevant industry experience will be considered for this role;
• Ability to apply appropriate problem solving techniques to technical and commercial related issues;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Previous experience providing advice and assistance to customers and staff;
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
