Jetstar is on an exciting journey. We're looking for a dynamic and proactive professional to help our business work smarter and more efficiently. Responsible for the technical support of all aspects of aircraft performance and loading (including weight and balance), you will be encouraged to think innovatively and develop and maintain best practice.
Your main responsibilities are:
• Develop and maintain special obstacle avoidance take-off procedures in compliance with relevant legislation
• Develop and validate software for aircraft performance and load control, including applicable electronic flight bag (EFB) applications used by Flight Crew
• Maintain current and accurate databases and company manuals for aircraft performance and load control in compliance with manufacturers manuals, other company operations manuals and relevant legislation
• Provide ongoing assessment of NOTAMs, airworthiness data and method of work plans which may have an effect on aircraft performance
• Monitor the performance of individual aircraft using manufacturer’s software and other tools
• Providing technical support in relation to aircraft performance and loading, as required
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
• Must hold a Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience with aircraft performance or weight and balance within an air transport organisation is desirable
• An understanding of Civil Aviation Orders and Regulations covering aircraft performance or weight and balance is desirable
• Analyse and solve complex problems under pressure
• Deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders across a variety of functions
• Take accountability for and be proactive with work
• Manage competing demands of ad-hoc projects
• Very strong attention to detail
