We employ more than 350 employees in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Penrith, South Melbourne and Port Melbourne.
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer experienced in pyrotechnic systems, based in Adelaide.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience in the safe handling of hazardous chemicals ensuring WHS requirements in technical laboratories are upheld.
Daily duties include:
- Set-up test equipment for laboratory activities;
- General upkeep of test and laboratory facilities;
- Prepare risk assessments and standard operating procedures for facilities and processes;
- Assist with the manufacture of formulations and associated materials preparation and analysis;
- Characterise pyrotechnic formulations for their chemical, sensitiveness and mechanical properties;
- Under direction obtain quotes for laboratory supplies.
- Provision of additional technical support.
Desirable:
- Diploma/Degree Chemistry, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering;
- Experience in safe energetic materials handling, materials characterization
- techniques and/or pyrotechnic technologies; and
- Some mechanical engineering knowledge (e.g. additive manufacturing techniques).
