ANCA are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Engineering team in our Bayswater Head Office. Reporting through to the Current Products Engineering Manager the Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of projects are completed correctly, on time and on budget.

Responsibilities of the role include;

Project Management

  • Establish project plans, milestones and deliverables in consultation with the operational teams, engineers and product managers.
  • Coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure that all tasks and deliverables are proceeding according to the schedule
  • Provide leadership to the project teams to ensure that work is conducted on time, within the quality requirements, within specifications and within budget.
  • Liaise with Product Managers to ensure the proper coordination of each project phase
  • Coordinate and define the project resources and post implementation evaluations
  • Build relationships with Project team members, technical support and management, manufacturing and purchasing to determine and resolve issues associated with the project and product design

Design to Release

  • Manage projects from end-to-end. Design Specification, through design, prototype, analysis, testing, production release, service support, marketing release and initial field analysis.
  • Develop clear specifications and business cases based on the business requirements and analysis
  • Obtain approval for the project plans and concepts, through the project management process & Stage Gate process.
  • Ensure the project package is engineered in accordance with the standards set
  • Plan and control quality standards to ensure the build and product performance is right the first time
  • Monitor and control the development and cost of engineering product development and regularly report on progress

Project Documentation

  • Ensure and promote the use of the project folders, as define in the Project Management Process, for all project documentation.
  • Follow the Stage Gate process (Senior Management), providing regular updates and written reporting is conducted on the project progress
  • Co-ordinate the overall product design through the use of standards, RASICs, Project plans (Gannt charts), FMEA, Boundary diagrams, Specification documents, test plans, etc. throughout the life of the project.
  • Ensure full timely release of BOMs, datasheets, drawings, commissioning documents, process requirements, marketing documentation, service manuals, user manuals, routings, costings, supplier definition, to support full release of new product.
  • Communicate via reporting into weekly project reviews, and monthly management reports

    The successful candidate must hold the below skills, qualifications and competencies;

  • Qualifications in PMP, PMBOK, PRINCE2 or Agile
  • Experience Project managing within a multi-disciplined engineering team
  • Solid expertise in developing complex project executions strategies, that include the standard facets of Project Plans i.e. scope, cost, risk and governance
  • Negotiation and communication skills, across every level of the business.
  • Proven experience in mechatronic design and development is a major advantage.
  • Experience in software & hardware design and development is a major advantage.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and organise work priorities for self and the team
  • Demonstrated People Management skills
  • Able to meet deadlines plan and organise work priorities
  • Demonstrated PC Skills (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and databases)
