Our valued client, whom are a market leader in the manufacturing industry, are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer for an exciting opportunity to join their team based at their Gympie plant.

This opportunity will see the successful candidate supporting the electrical team whom are responsible for the maintenance, optimisation and design of the electrical systems on site. Reporting to the Plant Engineer and facilitating with the delivery of projects.

The Opportunity

• developing and driving electrical projects to improve to improve sites safety systems

• developing strategies in support of long term electrical reliability of all the equipment on site

• leading and participating in investigations for failures to improve the long term reliability of the equipment

• reviewing and selecting safety systems, power distribution, and control systems to select appropriate solutions

• supporting the production teams in identifying and resolving electrical problems and risks

• leading and participating in HAZOP's and process safety analysis

The Person

• Motivated team player

• Degree qualified in electrical engineering discipline

• Demonstrated experience in electrical design -implementing best practice and document control

• Demonstrated experience in project delivery

• Ability to manage contractors to deliver projects in a safe and efficient manner

• Ability to mentor, coach, train and motivate team members

• Focused on safety and best practices in EHS controls

• Ability to develop and optimise control process through your skills in SCADA and PLC to improve plant processes
