As the Project / Design Engineer you will be required to manage engineering designs along with site inspections and forcasting costs to completion of projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage design costs and quantities for project in accordance with project budget so as to maximize the profit for the company.
- Provides and manage technical support to clients, other SRG offices, department managers, and staff
- Working with the assigned Draftsperson in the production of SRG design and drawings in accordance with construction and design programs.
- Liaise with the Clients Representative, Project Consulting Engineer, Architect and Services as appropriate to co-ordinate design and drawings.
- Effectively communicate regularly with Client Representatives, Leading Hands and the Construction Manager.
- Performing site inspections as required.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- 3 + Years’ experience in a design office
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
- Thorough understanding of structural behaviour especially with respect to reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete structures.
- Advanced knowledge of design software packages including but not limited to RAPT & RAM analysis software. Intermediate level with MS Office software.
- Demonstrated focus on meeting client requirements and changing processes and work priorities to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- High Level of leadership including coaching, mentoring, providing performance feedback, motivating a team and managing poor performance.
