GCI Group is Queensland's premier laser cutting and metal fabrication company employing over 130 staff. We enjoy an excellent work culture and have continued to grow over the past fifteen years by investing in our people and equipment.
We have just completed our biggest investment to date, with the addition of Trumpf's latest and most powerful fibre laser. Along with full automation and integration of our existing Trumpf lasers to the largest and most sophisticated storage system in Queensland, it is one of only three in Australia. This increase in capacity has created an exciting opportunity within our dedicated programming team.
Our programming team create all of the programs for our 4 Trumpf flatbed lasers, our Trumpf tube laser and our 5 Trumpf press brakes. The team is a vital part of our production process and continually cross train each other and work well together to achieve outstanding results.
In this role you will enjoy a variety of tasks, CAD design and drafting, 3D modelling, creating work shop drawings for our fabrication departments as well as creating programs for our various CNC machines.
To be successful in this role you will need
- CNC Programming experience ( Trumpf an advantage)
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to use 3D CAD an advantage (Solid Edge, Solid Works or similar)
