The Role

We currently have a position for a Service Delivery Manager to manage the delivery of facilities maintenance services to Defence properties throughout Albury Wodonga Military Area.

Reporting to the EMOS Operations Manager, you will manage the delivery of facilities maintenance services that contribute to the:

  • Delivery, operation and protection of Defence capability.
  • Safe use of Defence land, facilities and equipment.
  • Protection of environment and heritage; and
  • Protection of Defence’s reputation

These duties will include:

  • Planned and Reactive Maintenance to Defence infrastructure, buildings and equipment, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with applicable legislation standards and the Customer’s expectations
  • Minor works projects, including development of detailed business cases and project quality/delivery plans.
  • Work closely with the service delivery and maintenance planning team to validate the application of the Client’s service definition table and estate data (asset register)
  • Meeting with key stakeholders to develop a cooperative partnership that seeks continuous improvement to achieve Defence outcomes.
  • Review KPI’s to ensure service delivery outcomes such as response times, labour efficiency and financial performance objectives are achieved, implement changes and adjustment as required addressing variations to planned performance.
  • Ensure the adherence to Spotless compliance standards covering OH&S, Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action, Employee Relations, Privacy Act
  • Apply knowledge of OH&S legislation and regulations, codes and practices to ensure all sites meet OH&S standards

Skills and Experience

  • Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience leading a large and diverse technical workforce delivering facilities maintenance
  • Tertiary and/or trade qualification in an Electrical, Mechanical or Building Engineering discipline.
  • Qualifications and/or experience with Frontline Management.
  • Open Driver's Licence
  • Sound knowledge of Facilities Management contract principals
  • Understanding of OH&S and Industrial Relations law and regulations
  • Proven ability to write reports and prepare detailed business cases
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships
  • Ability to cope effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to identify and respond to customer requirements
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
