Based in our Melbourne CBD Office our Transport Division are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer with demonstrated experience providing engineering services to Highways and Roads Projects. 

The Opportunity

• Manage Design program for allocated projects
• Design overview, technical guidance and verification of scope and standards being met
• Review and approve quantities, cost estimates, design report and SID risk assessments
• Conduct fortnightly workload meetings with minutes - weekly infra team meetings / additional resource meetings as required on a project-by-project basis
• Ensure QA is set up at the start of the project: PCF, civil design brief, checklists, registers, etc.

To be successful

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and prior experience working on civil design projects in a consultancy environment
• Demonstrated experience using 12D and/or Inroads and AutoCAD; ability to customise software would be considered favourably
• Familiarity with local authority and AustRoads design standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence to express ideas freely with other staff members
