Cardno Building Services team Melbourne is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will contribute positively to our growth plan for the business. You will have solid experience in the Building Services consultancy sector, and demonstrated experience with AS/NZS standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).

The Opportunity

• You will lead the team and take responsibility for the design, documentation, delivery, and construction phase assistance of allocated projects
• Client Management and Project Management, you will demonstrate excellent stakeholder liaison skills and abilities to new/existing clients
• Together with support from the Building Services Group Manager- you will provide assistance to the pursuit of business opportunities
• Complete all project financial control and monitoring, forecasting of workloads

To be successful

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and 5-7 years’ experience in a consulting environment
• Competency using AutoCAD software
• Experience with Australian Standards and Australian National Construction Code, for projects such as apartments, commercial fit outs, education sector, health care and/or industrial buildings
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with the team, management and external stakeholders to produce client focused outcomes
• Commitment to quality and accuracy (attention to detail)
• Drive to contribute to the growth and development of the business, the team and yourself
