The Client
Immediate start available for an experienced Project Manager with a well respected company based in South East of Melbourne working largely on NBN.
My client has developed a reputation for consistently delivering within the busy telecommunications construction sector in Melbourne. They are looking at expanding there team to make sure they uphold their strong standing reputation in the industry.
The Role
- Establishment, effective implementation and maintenance of a project plan to meet the requirements and obligations of the contract and internal policy and procedures.
- Manage sub-contractor and consultant resources in accordance with the Project Plan, company procedures and utilize tools such as Subcontractor Database, Subcontractor Agreement, Purchase Order Database and Professional Services Agreement
- The ability to prepare and maintain budgets and cash flows with respect to each project.
- Thoroughly understand all client Head Contract objectives and obligations (including: time, quality, price, KPI and process management) to ensure they are fully administered and implemented by all team members.
- Understand and manage the processes relating to tenure agreements, environmental approval, site design and construction including all relevant industry legislation, acts and codes.
- Identify, procure, develop and utilize all tools to manage the workload in a controlled and professional manner (i.e. databases, PC’s, general IT equipment, office and engineering procedures and training).
- Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the team, including reconciliation of invoices, variations, mistakes and claims.
- Ensure all deadlines regarding the completion of the project are met and communicated to the leadership team.
- Accountable to the client and to the business for the high level performance of the project.
Experience Required
- Demonstrated major project experience in a similar role, leading a team, managing budgets, costs, consultants and clients
- Outstanding planning and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate across a broad range of stakeholders
- High level numerical analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex deployment, management or contractual issues
- Working knowledge of NBN Architecture and technologies
- Experience in operating successfully in matrix organisations
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Degree qualifications in Engineering, Building or Property related discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Post Graduate Project Management qualifications
