Our client has been awarded a contract to develop and manage an ADF heavy equipment solution that is critically important to protecting our Defence Forces.

In terms of responsibilities in this role, you will be:
- Responsible for engineering activities around product safety, design, analysis, validation and verification
- Constructively contributing to a vibrant systems design team, including participating with colleagues in developing and maintaining links and partnerships with industry and the wider community
- Requiring close interaction with customers and leadership of design packages and/or design teams
To be considered:
- Essential will be 3 years of experience working on Heavy Vehicle Vehicle Engineering projects
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in Lean Organisations i.e. specialist automotive design & manufacturing, aerospace or aviation manufacturing.
- Product safety and design background
- Defence Project Engineering experience valuable
- Strong problem solving and time management skills and known to be a self-starter
- The ability to obtain Australian Security Clearance or already hold one
- Flexibility to travel with current Australian Passport
