Applicant’s position will be responsible for:

• PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) software development. Applicant must have experience in Schneider Unity PLCs.  Other brands to be looked at favourably.
• SCADA/HMI software development. Citect, Wonderware to be looked at favourably. 
• Support Process Optimisation of client facility by means of changes to existing  control system.
• Review and understanding of related design documentation, included but not limited to. P&IDs, PFDs, IO List, Cable Schedule, Loop Diagrams, Control Philosophies, Flow Diagram, Electrical Design Documentation, Equipment Datasheets, Vendor.
• Configuration of IED (Intelligent electrical devices) from various vendors.
• Analysis and auditing of existing control system implementations.
• Design Reviews and punch listing with client representatives.
• Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Site Acceptance Testing.
• On site commissioning of PLC/HMI/SCADA software.
• Interactions with client representatives relating to industrial control systems.
• Design and specification assistance related to product selection.

Skill/Qualifications

• Applicant must have Australian Permanent Residency
• Applicant must have 5+ years’ experience in industrial automation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic and/or computer sciences.
• Applicant must have a understanding of industrial protocols and communications systems, including but not limited to Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
• Applicant must have experience with Historians and related Data acquisition systems.
• Applicant must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Applicant must have well-developed computer abilities.
• Applicant must have an exceptional fault finding ability related to Industrial Control Systems and associated technology.
• Applicant must have a primary knowledge of databases and associated integration to SCADA packages.

 Applicant with the following attributes will be looked upon favourably:

• Strong reporting skillset using Microsoft office and related document formats.
• Experience in materials handling/mining processes and implementations.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation design and associated fault-finding.
• Experience in networks and communications design and fault-finding
