We are currently seeking a Characterisation Technician to join our Technology Development Team.

The purpose of the role is to support the process and characterisation engineers by carrying out routine characterisation measurements on semiconductor materials and devices. The successful candidate will receive full training on all aspects of the role such as material characterisation by X-ray diffraction, surface roughness measurements and film thickness measurements.

On completion of the training the incumbent will be required to:

  • operate advanced characterisation equipment according to standard instructions
  • collate and present measurement results
  • assist in the formulation and improvements of work procedures
  • carry out periodic checks on characterisation equipment
  • follow quality control procedures to ensure laboratory standards are maintained

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently, follow instructions and perform repetitive and intricate tasks.

This unique role requires a reliable and efficient team player who is a self-starter, possessing excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality.

To be considered for this role you will have excellent time management skills, demonstrated attention to detail and be enthusiastic to learn new processes.

Proficiency in MS Office products and being familiar with cleanroom protocol is an advantage.
