Who are we?

Australian Coil Services (Auscoil) is an Australian owned coiled tubing and pressure pumping service provider. We are a specialist team with over 50 years combined experience in delivering services to the oil and gas industry, such as well cleanouts and circulation, milling, installations of siphon/ velocity/ injection strings and installations and retrieval of isolation tools, cementing through coil and other remedial work.  Auscoil is part of the Queensland based FKG Group which boasts over 700 experienced employees and has an annual turnover of $650 million. What are we looking for? 

To enable the continued growth of our dynamic operations, we are currently seeking a suitably experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. With the opportunity to be based in Toowoomba or Brisbane, the successful individual will perform and manage engineering works, whilst liaising directly with our clients to ensure efficient operations, programs, engineering simulations and delivery. As a key link between our clients and operations, this role will utilise their extensive experience in the oil and gas space, combined with considerable technical experience in coiled tubing operations (minimum 10 years) and delivery to ensure expectations are consistently exceeded.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working directly with customers to design completion and intervention programs for well stimulation, CT drilling, logging, perforating, and fishing, gas migration remediation and well abandonment and other specialised services;

  • Performing engineering works including but not limited to:  down-hole engineering simulations, treatment programs, operational and technical risk assessments, post job engineering analysis and evaluation, design of new/modification of specialized down-hole tools and equipment or treatment processes;

  • Project management of the development and introduction of new technologies, products and services;

  • Monitoring the performance of the coil tubing units in coordination with the Operations team;

  • Providing daily technical and engineering support to the coil unit and the customer groups on operations, maintenance/ refurbishment, inspection and certifications;

  • Providing mentoring support and coaching to other engineers and specialists;

  • Managing all Client communications with respect to all technical issues relating to the assigned activities;

  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of specific contractual requirements relating to the deployment and utilization of the assigned services;

  • Continually monitoring, reviewing, challenging and improving work practices, procedures and QSE awareness;

  • Providing relief and supplemental supervision as required.

 

As a priority, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' coiled tubing technical experience (stimulation and cementing experience highly desirable), 5 years' experience in an operational or technical management role, and have an extensive knowledge on industry standards, projections and well intervention techniques and theories. Appropriate tertiary level qualifications in a relevant engineering field (or similar), are desirable.
