About the business
Jarlam Australia is a Metal Engineering & Fabrication company based in Bayswater Victoria supplying the food and pharmaceutical industries with complete solutions for the design, manufacture and installation of conveyors, handling equipment and relocation of plant machinery.
About the role
Due to our expanding business we require an experienced full time Mechanical Engineer to assist with the design and drafting of conveyors, platforms and custom equipment.
Hours of work will be 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with overtime & Saturday Work.
Hourly Rate: $25-$30 per hour
Skills and experience
The successful candidate must meet the below criteria:
- Have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Be competant in and have Advanced knowledge of Autocad and Inventor with 3+ years experience in both programs
- Must have 3+ years experience in sheet metal design
- Have strong communication skills
- Have a proven Mechanical Aptitude
- Have accurate design skills with high attention to detail
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to work well in a small team environment as well as working autonomously
- Have their own transport to/from work
In addition to meeting the skills and experience requirements candidates must also meet the following criteria:
- Have a drivers licence
- Be punctual and reliable
- Be able to work overtime when required
- Be able to travel to and from sites
- Be available to travel interstate
This position is a permanent position. To be eligible for permanent appointment for this position you must have an Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency.
