Randstad is currently recruiting a rare and exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Control Systems Engineer to immediately commence your career working in the power sector. The client is a multinational specialist in the engineering, installation and maintenance of reciprocating engine based power plants and gas engine compression stations. This organisation will allow the successful candidate to gain exposure across design and delivery of a range of supply only projects through to the turn-key installation of multi-engine power plants.
Working within a dynamic team, you will receive on the job coaching and development by industry professionals. You will be become responsible for supporting experienced engineers with project functions in relation to:
- Work effectively in a team creating advanced control system solutions, e.g., automation of heavy equipment and machinery for the mining industry
- Industrial controller systems design and programming
- Computer and database centric software engineering including application and user interface development
- Analyse requirements, and with appropriate guidance and collaborative discussion, engineer robust solutions
- Provide control systems support for critical site operations
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications satisfying Engineers Australia Professional Engineer Membership status (Graduate or Member), e.g., electrical, electronic, software, mechatronic engineering.
An ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong desire to develop robust differentiated solutions involving programmable controllers, computing systems and applications
- A willingness to travel to sites (including overseas) for extended periods
- The ability to interactively communicate salient aspects of ideas and activities with team
- Ability to self-manage, competently apply guidelines and follow through until completion
- An enjoyment of problem solving and attention to relevant detail
- Enhancement of own ability through broad self-learning and applying knowledge

This Graduate Program with require the successful candidate to work 6 months in Adelaide; then the final 6 months of their 12 month program onsite - Interstate to gain site experience.
