About the Role

NHP is looking for a Technology Specialist to join our Queensland team to lead our collaboration and development of integrated solutions within Safety, such as categorised machine solutions, sensing and switching and functional and process expertise. This role will also be responsible for Hazardous Area Equipment environments, such as field sensors, glands and barriers, IS devices, control stations, lighting and junction boxes.

The Technology Specialist is required to work with external stakeholders and mentor internal team members on key market analysis, product management tools and techniques.

About the Responsibilities

• Build strong Safety and Hazardous Area Equipment relationships with customers to ensure NHP is represented appropriately, aligning key value messages and initiatives
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the
Safety and Hazardous Area Equipment market segments to lead, assist, achieve, create, and win opportunities for NHP
• Develop and implement account strategies for focused Safety and Hazardous Area Equipment outcomes based on current and anticipated customer requirement for nominated targets
• Ensure the Safety and Hazardous Area Equipment budgets are achieved in state by keeping the sales team updated on new product releases, innovation and technology trends, and market conditions.
• Provide sales team, product marketing managers, current and potential customers with advanced technical support, training and technical demonstrations, presentations and proof of concept

About You

You have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to effectively build teams and solve problems.
You persist to completion and push for results by displaying a co-operative team spirit and exhibiting leadership behaviour. And as you will be required to communicate regularly, you are confident in your knowledge and are able to adapt your presentation style and mediums to suit. By combining these attributes, you are therefore driven by a passion for helping business to find the best solution and enjoy solving technical problems.

Ideally you have

• An Electrical Engineering Degree, or an Engineering degree in a related field (Mechatronics, Robotic, Electronics)
• Five years of experience managing an machine or process Safety portfolio or Hazardous Area Equipment range
• Very strong analytical skills in market investigation, sales forecasting and market analysis, as well as experience in presenting business cases for technical products
• Excellent people management skills to motivate staff, customers, cross-functional teams, and third parties
