THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a customer-focussed engineer to join our Electronics Division, taking to market engineered to order solutions which are designed to be fit for purpose, fully compliant and meet our customer’s expectations with respect to functionality, safety, performance and reliability.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for:

• Taking to market engineered to order solutions across multiple industries
• Providing specialist engineering with respect to hazardous area electronic design techniques, IS assessments, hardware selection and safety solutions
• Provision of high level project management and project engineering to high profile projects involving a suite of products relevant to mine wide gas systems, control and monitoring solutions, communication solutions battery charger systems,  SCADA/PLC integration, VOIP and IP solutions
• Ensuring the final product is of high quality and robust, suited for the environment for which it is designed while being manufactured to be cost effective and profitable

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Along with a strong service-oriented mindset and ability to manage competing deadlines, you will have:

• Degree or Diploma level qualifications in electrical or electronics engineering (or close to completion)
• Demonstrated experience in resolving problems
• Strong interpersonal skills

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

• Electrical trade qualification
• Experience in the mining or manufacturing industry
• Experience with Australian and international standards, particularly with regards to intrinsic safety
