The Opportunity
 
With a strong record in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects throughout QLD this is a key role for an experienced Civil Engineer who is looking for variety and to execute design and project management.  Working in Mackay, a coastal location where lifestyle is everything, this is an opportunity to fast-track your career an hours’ flight from Brisbane and a relaxing drive away from the Whitsundays.

This is the perfect location and position to exercise true work life balance.  Flexible working arrangements are real and not an empty promise here and there is option for full-time or part-time to suit the right person.  Relocation assistance will be provided, if required.
 
 
Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Lead and contribute to the civil design of a variety of projects across; roads, urban development, rural highway and water
• Utilise your strong knowledge of Austroads and TMR standards (or State equivalent)
• Deliver high quality design and project leadership
• Lead project teams on key infrastructure projects
• Provide succinct and factual engineering reports
• Contribute to the development of the design team
• Interface and manage expectations of key clients

 
Key Skills and Characteristics

• BEng - Civil or similar qualification
• CPEng and RPEQ accredited or working towards
• 7+ years’  experience with 2 years’ in an engineering design office
• Ideally experience adhering to standards and managing TMR projects
• Demonstrated experience working to Australian design standards
• Proven ability to work across multiple scopes of civil infrastructure at any one time
• Broad-based civil infrastructure knowledge
• Team oriented and willing to champion a collaborative approach to engineering processes
• Enthusiasm to build on new and existing client relationships
