Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is a global manufacturer that provides products and services for the protection, control, automation, integration, communications and metering of electric power systems.
SEL seeks a professional and energetic Sales Manager based in Sydney responsible for the NSW, ACT, QLD, NY and PNG sales territory. If you are a self-motivated and experienced business developer looking for an exciting new opportunity to develop sales strategies and introduce state of the art products and equipment to the Australian markets, then this is the position for you!
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities to grow our business in Australia.
- Introduce SEL products and services to new and existing customers in assigned region through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telecommunications contact.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
- Plan, organise and conduct customer visits, seminars and training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of SEL products and a perspective of industry practices.
- Follow and improve marketing and sales area processes.
- Assist customers with purchase order preparation by providing SEL product configuration, Engineering Services work scope, and selling price information.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred, or relevant discipline including electrical trade.
- Extensive experience in technical sales and business development.
- Good knowledge of substation design and renewable energy systems.
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Current sales experience in the Eastern Australia market.
- Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated and demonstrated team player.
- Ability to travel.
