  • Permanent full time - 35 hours per week
  • $75,603 up to $83,920 per year + super + leaseback vehicle
  • RDO every 4 weeks + Long service leave after 5 years

If you are looking for a role that puts your engineering expertise to good use across a variety of civil engineering services, then this could be the role for you.

About the role:

The role will provide civil engineering and design services to further develop a range of council’s assets for the residents of the Maitland Local Government area. Specifically we are looking for professionals with experience in traffic management, infrastructure planning and stormwater management. You will supervise the execution and performance of projects as required, ensuring the project is carried out in accordance with the approved design plans, budget allocations and time constraints whilst adhering to safety and environmental codes. You will also collaborate with other transport authorities to identify opportunities to deliver infrastructure funding to improve the city’s transport network.

About you:

You will have a degree in Civil Engineering or the like, with contemporary experience in:

  • the application of traffic and transport management and Civil engineering design and analysis of traffic facilities
  • the application of stormwater catchment management, and civil engineering design and analysis of stormwater infrastructure
  • infrastructure design, cost benefit analysis calculations, application of risk management and Quality assurance principles
  • project management along with delivering projects within the timeframe and budget
  • report writing

You will be a team player who can provide technical advice, effectively investigate civil engineering matters and recommend solutions. 

Benefits:

This role attracts a salary from $75,603 up to $83,920 per year + 9.5% p.a. super based on your demonstrated skills and experience. A leaseback Council vehicle will also be provided to the successful applicant.
