Mack Civil is a family owned and operated business based in Sydney which was established to provide a range of civil construction solutions for local government councils and authorities. Over the past decade, Mack Civil has built a strong reputation within the industry with the expertise to undertake a diverse range of civil engineering and construction projects.
We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering graduate to assist our Senior Project/Contract Managers in providing timely and accurate estimates for the tendering process and the management of current projects.
 
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and attend pre-bid and pre construction meetings
• Preparation of cost estimates and the documentation for contract bids
• Prepare all documents for execution of contracts (e.g. quotes, permits, DBYD plans, final quantities, construction schedules, status reports, variations)
• Ensure that finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
• Manage office files and records
• Working in close collaboration with operation manager and site foremen to make smooth function of construction activities
• Coordinate with council officers to meet client's needs and approvals
• Plan construction methods and procedures
• Coordinate the supply of labour and materials
• Supervise construction sites and direct site foreman and subcontractors to make sure standards of construction performance, quality, cost schedules and safety are maintained
• Control payment to subcontractors by valuation of completed work

 
To ensure that you are successful in this role you will possess/demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management or equivalent 
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Computer literate (Excel, Word, Program etc.)
• Understanding of planning and programming
• Ability to develop & maintain systems and procedures to each project
• Ability to meet strict deadline
• Familiar with WH&S
• Drivers Licence
