What are we looking for?
Due to consistent growth in our team and the demands of our strong and growing pipeline of work heavily involved in supporting a wide variety of civil engineering projects including highways, bridges and rail, a Senior Drainage Engineer role has been opened.
Your role will include:
- Leading selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, collaborating with other design disciplines ensuring the integrity of the overall design, quality assurance, and client expectations are met;
- Liaising with the Project Manager, clients and contractors on developments associated with projects.
- Understanding our client’s business and the VIC industry, to facilitate building effective and enduring relationships and consolidating both company and personal credibility in the industry.
- Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options;
- Providing a high standard of technical advice and solutions; and
- Supervising junior engineers and guide them in their professional development.
Who are we looking for?
You will have:
- 8+ years’ experience working in Australia and VIC design standards is required;
- Proficiency in using 12D or Inroads Storm and Sanitary software is a must;
- Demonstrated experience using MUSIC software, Hec-Ras and 2D Flood Modelling will be highly regarded;
- Must have Lead Designer experience; and
- Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and/or stakeholders.
This role may suite experience land development engineers looking for a move into the major infrastructure industry. Part time candidates will also be considered.
