Our client has developed a commercial product in response to a need for a more comprehensive and customizable performance analysis and optimization platform that delivers more accurate insights, faster. Combining industry-leading big data analysis with a deep understanding of the dynamic mining environment, their solution makes the invisible visible, taking performance analysis and optimization beyond the IOT to deliver a revolutionary fit-for-purpose solution that generates results like never before.

 

Currently we are looking for a Mechanical Research/Analysis Engineer to contribute to the analytics team and will be responsible for research, design, development, testing and qualification of new and existing products.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Solve real world problems developing algorithms & software
  • Provide written documentation of procedures, setups, and experimental results, with strong attention to detail
  • Work with internal teams to design and manufacture custom mechanical parts
  • Investigate hardware issues found during the development of new modules

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, with 5+ years industry experience preferred
  • Experience using Python, Matlab, VB, C#, or similar
  • Ability to take an abstract problem through to a practical solution using complex algorithms
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, take initiative, and manage priorities appropriately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
