As a partner with some of the largest Defence projects in Australia, we currently have a position available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to be based in the ACT. Our client is leader in the design and development, manufacturing, strict verification and validation testing of cutting edge systems for export.

The role:
- Strong 3D design tools experience and 2D drawing experience
- Sound mechanical calculations experience
- Participate in testing ITDL functions and non-functions
- Develop test procedures and plans
- Provide engineering direction on machining, materials selection
- Develop modifications, deviations, ECP and reports
- Prototype testing and detailed assembly of mechanisms
- Engineering design tasks and modifications
- Good communications experience both written and oral
- Discuss/resolve technical issues with various stakeholders
Experience required:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering
- Excellent knowledge and experience with design
- Must have a level of Design authority/approval
- Must be experienced in working in a fast-paced environment
- A strong level of problem solving skills
- Excellent Systems Engineering knowledge
- Identifying technical risk and conducting risk assessments
- Working toward CPEng
- Candidates must be an Australian Citizen to apply
