About the Role
You will work collaboratively with our clients, engineers and drafters to provide high quality structural and civil documentation and advice. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is well organised, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Mandatory requirements
- A Bachelor Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a design consultancy - with mainly local Melbourne experience
- Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia and VBA - (actual membership preferred)
- Australian Residency
- Australian driver's licence
Key skills and attributes
- Excellent client management and business development skills with a solid Melbourne network
- Excellent team management and people skills to maintain a positive team environment
- Experience in the education, health and aged care sectors would be considered an advantage
- Strong work ethic - action oriented and driven
- Sound report writing skills
- Broad technical expertise and software experience (sound working knowledge and some experience with ETABS, Inducta, Structural Toolkit, SPACE GASS, AutoCAD)
- Ability to develop fee proposals
- Proven ability to deliver concept designs, detailed designs and conduct technical reviews
- Ability to manage profitability and work to a budge
