Monadelphous’ Maintenance and Industrial Services supplies long term maintenance contracts, shutdowns, execution of capital projects and asset integrity works to blue chip clients across Australia.
As an Estimator you will be responsible for estimating and planning for sustaining capital projects and shutdown maintenance works. You will be involved in the compilation of tenders and proposals, including lump sum and long-term service contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing tender documents and responding to EOI’s whilst ensuring suitability against company assessment tools to mitigate potential risks
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to obtain information pertaining to submissions
- Compiling estimates of man-hours and materials including cost calculations
- Participating in pre-award negotiations with the Tender Manager and relevant Area/Project Managers
- Undertaking job handover to the project team and ensure that all information required to complete the work efficiently to customer requirements is provided
- Developing and sustaining effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Ideally your professional background may include experience from a Mechanical and/or structural background. You will possess first principles estimating knowledge gained on projects with mechanical, structure or piping related disciplines.
The key to your success will be your ability to demonstrate initiative, coupled with effective communication skills to establish positive working relationships. Attention to detail together with advanced Excel skills and experience in the use of estimating systems and databases will see you highly regarded for the position.
