Job Description:
The HV/Grid Connection Engineer will be responsible for managing the GPS negotiations, GPS compliance studies and registration process, from a commercial phase all the way to the registration and commissioning. This includes:
- Due diligence review of Client-supplied information prior to contract signature,
- Assistance to the Client to negotiate the GPS
- Coordination of HV design to ensure compliance with the GPS
- Preparation and/or review of specification for HV equipment
- Manage compliance consultant to demonstrate R1 testing
- Manage the preparation and validation of the R2 commissioning plan
- Lead the R2 commissioning (liaise with site teams, NSP, client and AEMO)
- Manage the preparation and ensure successful and timely validation of the R2 report
The successful applicant will:
- Manage specialist consultants

- Be able to manage processes in a timely fashion
- Possess good communication and management skills to ensure a successful coordination of all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Have a good knowledge of the NER and an understanding of technical requirements for a Generator.
- Understand AEMO requirements for registration and have previous experience with the process.
- Have an understanding of plant modelling
- Have a good knowledge about harmonics
- Have previous demonstrated experience with the R2 testing process.
