The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector and acts as the leading sports agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector. The AIS Division is responsible for leading and enabling a united high performance system that supports Australian athletes to achieve podium success. Sitting under the AIS Division, the Applied Technology and Innovation Branch is responsible for working with sports and other partners to identify, prioritise and deploy an applied technology, innovation and human performance agenda.
As our Sport Engineer, Workshops, you will work closely and collaborate with National Sporting Organisations and State Institutes of Sport with your team of electronic engineers and specialists. As the team lead, you will enable your people to create, execute, deliver and implement projects defined and prioritised by the AT&I branch. You will be responsible for the organisation of resources, both internal and external, to complete exciting projects on time and budget. Successful and timely implementation is key to success of these projects, so if you enjoy working in a fast moving, competitive environment this role is right for you.
Our ideal candidate for this position will bring the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and experience in the delivery of engineering and software projects, along with:
- Demonstrated experience leading project work to completion within budgets and schedules
- Demonstrated capacity to create and work with different types of engineering documentation, including drawing, modelling and interpretation
- Strong capacity to relate to and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
This position is based in Canberra and will be offered as a fixed term contract to 18 December 2020.
Salary range = $104,040 - $122,767 per annum plus superannuation.
