Aurecon’s Buildings Team provides expertise across many key markets, including Commercial and Residential Properties, Defence, Education, and Health. We are currently inviting applications from Senior Fire Protection Engineers to join our high performing team at our Docklands office in Melbourne. This role will be offered on a permanent basis with outstanding career development opportunity.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and documentation of fire protection services and able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Take a proactive approach in the managing the resolution of interfacing and coordination of fire services with other building services
• Work closely and develop trusted relationships with other project stakeholders, notably architects, contractors, builders and end users to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions
• Take a positive role in the development of emerging engineers, as well as undertake reviews and verifications of designs produced by others
• Undertake site inspections and produce detailed evaluation reports as required
• Participate in project costing and budget preparation.

Requirements

• Demonstrative experience over an 8-10-year period as a fire protection engineer predominately within the Australian market
• Extensive experience in all form of wet and dry fire protection systems
• Extensive knowledge of Australian standards related to Fire Protection systems
• Experience in special hazards systems, NFPA, FM Global requirements will be an advantage
• Able to manage work across simultaneous projects.
• Proven ability to work in a team and assist others as required
