About the role:
As Technical Support Officer, you will be responsible for the provision of timely and effective technical support services to the Secure Services Business unit, including the provision of technical advice, problem identification & resolution, product evaluation and technical documentation.
You will have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to fault-find and contribute to the research and development of medical and house monitoring devices.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for researching and providing sound technical advice to all Secure Services Stakeholders on the range of equipment and supporting software platforms used by RAA Secure Services
• Provide technical support to Secure Services Trainers in the developing and delivering of their relevant training packages
• Provide ongoing support for technicians and contractors such as over the phone or on site as required
• Accurately maintain the Known Issues database for existing products and manage product technical records and documentation and project plans and outcomes
• Work closely with product development team to conduct research, evaluation and testing of new candidate product lines
• Contribute to process design for new product integration
• Explore opportunities for continuous improvement with existing product lines and plan and manage individual projects for new product R&D
• Liaise with suppliers and third parties where necessary to resolve technical questions
What you need:
• High level of technical and electrical knowledge
• Understanding of the operation and configuration of simple IP Networks and Cloud technologies.
• Good technical understanding of how the Telco 3G/4G communication systems operate.
• Experience in providing quality instruction and advice to employees and end users on Networking/Cloud technologies, Wireless and fixed line voice/data, Security Systems, Digital CCTV and Personal Monitoring Equipment.
• Experience in planning and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Experience analysing issues, researching solutions and delivering outcomes.
