About the role
Reporting to the Project ILS Manager, this position will see you assisting in the acquisition of a national defence capability. You will work with equipment vendors and customers to analyse and document the ILS and operational aspects of the equipment, allowing verification and validation activities, as well as ILSI and EMEI documentation preparation.

This role is focussed initially on the acquisition elements of the capability, and will evolve to enable transition elements in preparation for the through-life support contract.

The role will be responsible for:

• Working as part of the project team, providing analysis and artefacts to successfully enter and exit Systems Engineering reviews.
• Develop and revise technical specifications and documentation to support equipment introduction into service and to support Commonwealth accreditation.
• Contributing to RAM and other ILS analysis to characterise various individual equipment items, and integrated collections of equipment to support requirements verification and validation.
• Working with OEMs, the engineering team, and the customer to compile and review ILSI’s and EMEI’s for customer acceptance.
• Provide input into or develop and implement training and support documentation for equipment maintenance processes.

Skills and experienced required:

• Experience working in a project focussed on delivery and support of complex equipment.
• Familiarity with the Technical Regulation of ADF Materiel Manual - Land (TRAMM-L) or similar technical regulatory framework.
• Quality or process improvement training
• Demonstrated ability to analyse equipment and designs from an ILS perspective; RAM, FMECA, etc… and the use of tools to store and aggregate this data.
• Demonstrated ability to compile technical data in the form ILSI / EMEI or equivalent technical manuals.
• Strong individual contributor and team player in a professional environment
• Highly effective in managing multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to apply extensive technical expertise and has some knowledge of other related disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders

Candidates with baseline / NV1 clearance are encouraged to apply. Australian Citizenship essential.
