Balpara's Electrical Division specialise in Project Management, Engineering Design, Surveying, Drafting and Site Management. Our Melbourne office based in Oakleigh is seeking a passionate person looking to kick start their career as Trainee Electrical Detailer / Drafter. This role offers the opportunity to be mentored and developed by our key management team which will help shape your career within the Electrical Distribution Industry.
With a keen interest in power distribution, the Trainee Electrical Detailer/Drafter will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Conduct regular site visits with team leaders on a range of overhead and underground distribution projects
- Create, revise and update underground as-built and technical drawings
- Learn and maintain expected current drafting standards as set by legislative requirements and market demands
- Deliver projects within predetermined specifications
- Carry out quality checks and procedures
- Interpret information and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Support teams across the business with adhoc duties
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be willing to develop skills in CAD based applications i.e. AutoCAD
- Have excellent computer skills
- Have a keen interest in the electrical distribution industry
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have a keen eye for detail
