About the Role
Responsible for managing the reliability and availability (performance) of allocated production-related assets to ensure that the allocated assets can deliver a strategic plan for all clients' customers in Queensland, as well as development of new projects within this region.
 
Responsibilities
In fulfilling the primary purpose of the position, you will typically perform the following in compliance with company systems and Client requirements:
  1. Develop unit specific Asset Management Plans for each major production related asset, as allocated by the client;
  2. Prepare & submit budget requests (Capex and Opex) on behalf of clients;
  3. Ensure resolution of engineering issues by conducting engineering investigations and devising engineering solutions for all allocated production-related assets;
  4. Prepare & submit proposals for implementation of engineering solutions;
  5. Perform Project Engineering/Management services for execution of remedial works with personnel and external contractors as required;
  6. Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are introduced and adhered to while meeting the organisation policies and standards for HSE Management;
  7. Participate in continuous improvement and Client Management Systems and procedures;
  8. Actively participate in inductions, mentoring and training activities, including client inductions;
  9. Research and implement new technologies to improve asset performance and longevity;
  10. Meet KPI’s and report progress back to Line Manager; and,
  11. Identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the region.
Key Selection Criteria
To achieve the purpose of the position, the following attributes are required:
  1. High level of communication and interpersonal skills;
  2. Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering;
  3. Strong knowledge and experience in asset and maintenance management;
  4. Leadership skills;
  5. Experience in working with external contractors to meet the requirements of key stakeholders;
  6. Ability to deliver presentations to key stakeholders.
