Your new role

This role will be very hands on and provides exposure to a number of different aspects to the firm and project teams. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will assist in developing project objectives, project specifications, oversee project schedules, control the project costs, perform site inspections, advise on the delivery of technical aspects of projects, coordinate personnel to prepare for on and off maintenance works, liaise with relevant stakeholders including Government and local council, oversee and prepare risk assessments and assist in the administration of the project including monthly claims, oversee variations and EOT’s and manage staff on the project. Your level of knowledge and relevant experience will ensure your success in submitting high quality reports and advising on all civil engineering aspects of the project. Experience within civil space is required, in particular with major road work upgrades, working closing with DTMR on the contractor side. Your key responsibility is to guarantee high performance, excellence and productivity of your team in meeting company standards including safety and delivering projects on time.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualifications e.g. Bachelor of Engineering (Civil);
• Prior experience (min. 5yrs +) on civil infrastructure construction projects with mid or first-tier contractors;
• On-site experience is looked at favourably;
• Demonstrated knowledge of DTMR/and or RMS specifications;
• Bridge and Structures experience is a must;
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar software is advantageous;
• Proficient use of either Primavera 6 or ASTA;
• Commitment to the highest levels of safety, environmental and quality leadership;
• Experience administering subcontract agreements; and
• Ability to develop, implement and manage budgets and forecasting.
