We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st year Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic and talented Engineering team in Tongala. Our Engineering department’s core purpose is to ensure factory reliability, plant availability and also be innovative towards continuous improvement principles which are critical factors in delivering our factory’s results.
No experience is required and we will provide on the job training and support. This position will last the duration of your apprenticeship. During this apprentice program, you will acquire knowledge and practical skills required by the apprenticeship through on-the-job training provided by the company, and through off-the-job training at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), to a level that will gain you a nationally recognised qualification.
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
- Satisfactory completion of Year 11, having achieved good results in Mathematics & Physics
- Electrical work experience or pre-trade entry training would be considered an advantage
- Attend and complete all required studies
- Excellent communication skills
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Enthusiasm and team spirited
- A strong willingness to learn and work safely as a part of the team
