Role Description
The Process Engineer is responsible for providing water and waste water process designs and technical support to the Company in relation to both new projects and existing operations, data analysis and reporting, plant commissioning, research and development, pilot plant investigations and coordination of minor projects.
This role is based in Brisbane, but some travel will be a requirement of this role.
What We Are Looking For:
Applicants should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Chemical engineering or relevant science degree
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in either/both design or operational aspects municipal water and waste water treatment plants
- Proven ability to produce preliminary and detailed water and waste water treatment plant process designs
- Proficient with using BioWin
- Able to prepare high level CAPEX and OPEX estimates for use in engineering options evaluations
- Able to assist with business development activities including bid preparation and client meetings
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in using and complying with quality management systems
- High degree of proficiency with Windows-based applications (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Ability to rapidly develop positive working relationships with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal direction
- High level of confidence, sense of contribution, drive and initiative
