Soil Surveys Engineering is a recognised leader in geotechnical engineering, with offices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We have over 40 years experience in providing a comprehensive range of geotechnical services to a diverse range of projects.
Recent management changes and increased work load has resulted in a new position being developed to assist with geotechnical projects at our Gold Coast office.
We are therefore recruiting a geotechnical engineer with at least 3 years experience working on geotechnical projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:-
- Tendering and geotechnical proposals
- Managing and delivery of site investigations
- Assessment, interpretation, analysis and geotechnical reporting
- Slope stability and land slide risk assessment
- Temporary work design and construction supervision
- Acid Sulfate Soil assessments
- Inspection and construction monitoring
The successful candidate will possess:-
- A degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
- Minimum 3 years experience across a variety of geotechnical consulting projects
- Strong written and communication skills
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work accurately with limited direction in field and office environments
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Guidelines desirable
- Relevant software skills (Slide, Wallap) for geotechnical analysis is desirable but not essenital
