Mechanical / Structures Engineer

These capabilities encompass all levels of platform sustainment and stewardship including engineering, maintenance, modification, repair, in-service monitoring, training, reliability, planning, purchasing and supply.
Northrop Grumman Australia Technology Services KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport Program is seeking a highly motivated and professional, tertiary qualified Mechanical / Structures Engineer to join the engineering Team based out of RAAF Base Amberley or Springfield.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Technical Information in accordance with Engineering Work Instructions
- Assess issues and incoming technical information for risks and initiate risk treatment following NGA-TS processes
- Provide project support for the platform
- Develop engineering instruments
- Peer review engineering instruments for release by the Engineering Organisation for TLS activities
- Handling complex technical data including U.S. controlled technological data and (ITAR/EAR) material
- Engineering Management System documentation and process management
- Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes for capability development and routine through life support projects
To be successful you must possess:
- Relevant Mechanical / Aerospace engineering degree(s)
- Minimum four years' experience as a Professional Engineer in the aviation industry (essential)
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Defence Technical Airworthiness Regulations or Defence Aviation Safety Regulations
- Experience and understanding of Configuration Control and Design Change Management
- Experience as a Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering Professional in Defence aviation (preferred)
- Fluent, precise and clear communication skills
The successful candidate will have proven analytical and reporting skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.
