Unipod is Victoria's leading and largest specialist in foam production and we currently have an exciting opening for a professional Maintenance Supervisor ideally with experience in Injection Moulding or related fields. We are looking for a like-minded individual who supports production with smooth functioning production equipment. Reporting to the Site Manager the Maintenance Supervisor position will be primarily responsible for ensuring the effective planning and execution of all preventative and reactive maintenance on site.
The successful applicant will be responsible for various tasks including:
- Drive optimisation and control costs through effective maintenance
- Schedule and perform preventative and reactive maintenance work on all site equipment
- Ensure all maintenance works internal and external are completed to schedule and safety standards
- To assist in the training and support of production staff to enable ongoing maintenance and staff development
- Establish and coordinate maintenance safety procedures
- Engineering assistance for quality and process improvements
Applicants must meet the outlined position criteria:
- Proven track record of planning maintenance work, preferred using CMMS systems such as MEX.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
- Experience with setting injection moulding machines and tools
- Solid mechanical knowledge
- Capacity to assess and prioritise work loads
- Problem solving/fault finding skills
- Strong people management and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or a mechanically related field and preferably to have had hands on experience
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within similar roles with small to medium sized businesses.
