About the role

 

Based in Leederville this role will form part of the SCADA Acquisitions Team, this role is responsible for providing specialist electrical consultancy services in the areas of SCADA project support, design, construction and commissioning for assets both in the metro and regionally. As this role will be supporting our regional areas, travel around WA will be required on a regular basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to deliver an operational and fully functional asset for project handover

  • Review designs and tender documents and provide comments in terms of constructability, operability and maintainability of assets

  • Review of FAT, SAT and commissioning documents;

  • Ensure that quality requirements are met including evaluation of compliance with standards, design specifications, contract conditions, and operational effectiveness requirements

  • Inspect and test at off site locations

  • Witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

  • Witness the pre-commissioning, commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

  • Contractor and subcontractor liaison

  • Liaise with regional stakeholders in regards to access, isolations and operation of assets required to undertake programmed works

Skills & Experience

  • WA Electrical Worker’s License (preferable dual trade electrical and instrumentation license) or

  • Electrical / Power Tertiary Degree with extensive site experience

  • Substantial trade experience in construction, commissioning and maintenance support of electrical and control equipment and systems in the water or process industry

  • Demonstrated Supervisory experience

  • The ability to read and interpret electrical and logic drawings and liaising with other disciplines

  • Demonstrated experience with PLC’s / RTU’s / SCADA and communications equipment

  • Instrumentation commissioning and calibration

  • Current driver’s license
