Due to significant and sustained growth in the market and WSP’s market share we have an exciting opportunity for Control Systems Engineers to join our growing QLD Power group, focusing on developing unique solutions for complicated systems and processes across QLD and Australia.

We are looking for highly practical Control Systems Engineers with an aptitude for finding technically advanced yet practical solutions to our clients’ needs across all aspects of industry but with a focus on the fields of renewable and thermal power generation. Our group takes on the challenging projects where every design and situation requires a unique and well though-out solution.

• Bachelor Degree (Control Systems / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering).
• 4 to 8 years’ experience
• Ability to manage small projects.
• Demonstrate a strong client focus.
• Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• The right to work in Australia, or a pathway to obtain a suitable visa.

The successful applicant will have a mixture of some or all the following:

• Project delivery or detailed design of control systems in power generation (coal, gas, CCGT, hydro, solar and wind farms), oil and gas, or other process industries.
• Operational and Maintenance experience with LV Electrical and current DCS, PLC, SCADA Systems;
• Process engineering including an understanding of Functional Safety Engineering;
• Hazardous Area – Classification, Design, Installation & Maintenance;
• Instrumentation selection and design.
• Technical report writing.
