Your New Employer is the Australian division of a leading global provider of Products and Services to the power and telecommunications sectors. In your new role, you will be providing electrical engineering expertise to support all business activities from estimating to design for construction. Detailed designs, drawings and bills of materials that are compliant to all relevant codes are your responsibility for everything manufactured locally.
You role includes:
- Ensuring Electrical Engineering projects are completed in full
- Working closely with the Estimating Group to prepare tender responses and quotes
- Providing engineering expertise across the business to support production and sales activities.
- Engaging with clients and customers
- Researching and investigate to remain "current"with respect to Australian Standards, new products and work practices, industry trends etcc
You will have an Electrical Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years experience in the Australian electrical, power or communications industry with a focus on switch gear/switch room design. You will be able to develop and sign off project construction documentation (drawings and BOM) for client approval and manufacture; have knowledge and understanding of Australian standards (AS 3000, AS 2067); work with DB specification and integration and DC system specification and integration. You will be competent with PLC and control systems specification, development and integration; and be able to incorporate safety into designs.
Certain competencies will also be highly desired including the design of integrated solar solutions, access control systems, fire detection and suppression systems, automatic transfer switches specification and integrations, generator specification and integration, FAT and testing.
