Fast Track Fabrication and Design is a engineering workshop that caters to the Water and Waste Water, Industrial and Manufacturing, Food and Beverage and Agriculture Industries and is able to conceptualise, design, draft, manufacture and install to client specifications as well as Australian Standards. Utilizing the experience of staff with over 20 years in manufacturing and Design Fast Track is able to deliver solutions that meet or exceed client requirements.
About the role
There is an immediate need for a Graduate Mechanical/Structural Engineer to undertake the following activities for major Water Industry projects currently contracted:
- Design of Mechanical Equipment
- Design of Structures, Access Walkways, Platforms, and Ladders
- Use of Australian Standards to undertake designs
- Finite Element Analysis both Mechanical/Structural
- 3D Drafting Including Manufacturing Drawings
- Liaise with the Workshop to Fabricate all Designed Equipment
This position will involve office/workshop based activities as well as exposure to site based work.

Skills and experience
The following skills and relevant experience are required for this position:
- Degree qualification in either Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Eligible for Engineers Australia Membership)
- Be a Graduate Engineer
- Experience within a Manufacturing/Workshop environment is desirable
- Experience in 3D Drafting and Manufacturing Drawings (Autodesk Inventor or Similar) is desirable.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis Software for Mechanical or Structural Designs is desirable.
- Demonstrate some knowledge of Australian Standards
